A Surprise Wedding Proposal Story - Caught on Film!
Today's blog entry is a little wedding fairytale! This is Lee and Matt, and he has the thumbs up from all the girls in the office today. The rest of this story is brought to you by their lovelyphotographer!
Her favorite number is 11. She loves ice skating. She's always wanted to get married on Friday 11/11/11. He contacted and hired me before Christmas [so that we could do this shoot on 1/1/11]. We made plans via email; I checked his Facebook page to know what they look like, etc.
(This is the famous statue at the World famous Rockfeller Center skating rink)
The day of we sent text messages to each other. I positioned myself at the edge of the rink and he spotted me. After they slowly went around 2-3 times (he's not an ice skater), he stopped, hugged her, and got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.
She later said that she thought it was a joke because they were still waiting to get engaged. People on and around the rink applauded and cheered and they took 2 more laps around the rink.
